Georgia ForestWatch watches over the thousands of acres of forest in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. The organization spearheaded the UGA lab breeding predator beetles for the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid. It is one of the strongest advocates of Wilderness status for the Mountain town area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are ministers, farmers, well drillers, housewives, teachers, employees of corporations, owners of small businesses, students, community leaders, office workers, artists doing temp jobs, craftsmen, lawyers, musicians, lawyers-who-would-be-musicians, restaurant owners, professors, developers, geologists, social workers, government analysts, writers, physicians, organizers, executives, medical technicians, principals, fishermen. Some people lump us together and call us “environmentalists.” We probably are that, even though we are many other things as well.
